From October 1-10, Chattanooga will welcome a new outdoor sports festival called RiverRocks. The festival will include more than 40 events that cover outdoor action, entertainment, and family friendly activities. Something for the entire family: kayaking, bouldering, hiking, biking, live music, hot air balloons and much more. RiverRocks is getting some serious local buzz and proceeds go to support eight local conservation organizations.

The mission of the Tennessee River Gorge Trust is to enrich the community by conservation of ‘Tennessee’s Grand Canyon’ through land protection, education and the promotion of good land stewardship. Since 1981 the Trust has worked to protect more than 16,700 acres in the 27,000 acre Gorge that surrounds the Tennessee River for 27 miles.
