65 Roses 5k
The 9th annual 65 Roses 5k takes place on April 9, 2011 in historic downtown Cleveland, TN. This running event supports the local Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Click here to view 5k route.

Cumberland Caverns

Raccoon Mountain Caverns
Raccoon Mountain Caverns is located just outside of Chattanooga and has been open to the public since 1931. It is a natural, limestone cavern that has been nationally recognized as being one of America’s finest caves. It is noted for its incredible variety of passageways, large waterfalls, diverse formations, abundant fossils, and spectacular scenery. Wild cave expeditions are specialty tours that are designed to permit you to explore the vast inner portions of the cave system in the accompany of a skilled guide.

RiverRocks
From October 1-10, Chattanooga will welcome a new outdoor sports festival called RiverRocks. The festival will include more than 40 events that cover outdoor action, entertainment, and family friendly activities. Something for the entire family: kayaking, bouldering, hiking, biking, live music, hot air balloons and much more. RiverRocks is getting some serious local buzz and proceeds go to support eight local conservation organizations.

Ruby Falls Zip Stream
Chattanooga adds a “new adventure above the rest” with a never-before-seen view of the Scenic City from the tree tops at Ruby Falls! This challenge is made up of suspended obstacle courses built in trees that include ladders, nets, walkways, bridges, tunnels and zip lines. A ZIPstream course gets the adrenaline pumping and allows people to step out of their comfort zones and experience things they never believed they could do. Tennessee Bouldering Authority
TBA is Chattanooga’s first indoor bouldering and rock-climbing facility. Their climbing wall provides nearly 3,000 sq. ft. of world-class indoor rock climbing. TBA’s spacious rock climbing area was specifically designed for bouldering with routes for beginners as well as the hard-core competitive climber.

Tennessee River Gorge Trust
The mission of the Tennessee River Gorge Trust is to enrich the community by conservation of ‘Tennessee’s Grand Canyon’ through land protection, education and the promotion of good land stewardship. Since 1981 the Trust has worked to protect more than 16,700 acres in the 27,000 acre Gorge that surrounds the Tennessee River for 27 miles. Be sure to check back for the ‘Gear Up for the Gorge’ raffle that starts in August. This is your chance to support a great local cause and win over $2500 worth of outdoor gear.
