Asheville French Broad River Park

Wilma Dykeman Riverway (Asheville)

Wilma Dykeman Riverway: Bike, walk, or run the Wilma Dykeman Riverway – Carrier Park and the French Broad River Park (part of the Wilma Dykman RiverWay) on Amboy Road offer two miles of flat, paved greenway trails perfect for biking with younger children. Pedal by the French Broad and enjoy a picnic on the banks of the river. Be sure to check out the paved path just past Carrier Park that heads south along the river towards Hominy Creek where the French Broad Outfitters operate an outpost with riverside bar, music and food trucks.

French Broad Greenway

Additional work is currently underway to connect the French Broad River Park to existing greenway paths near New Belgium Brewery. This path is currently a dirt trail, but is generally accessible to provide access to New Belgium and some of the newest greenway in Asheville. Additional plans and construction call for further development of the River Arts District pathways located on the opposite side of the French Broad River.
