Pulliam Creek Hiking Trail

image

Just on the outskirts of Hendersonville lies the rugged and lesser-known Green River Gamelands. This 10,000-acre tract of land has a primary purpose of wildlife conservation and management, and it’s also home to the well know Green River – which is a favorite playground among kayakers, tubers, and other boaters. The Pulliam Creek Trail is a 6 1/2 miles round trip out-and-back, with the turning point at the river. If you’re interested in a more adventurous side jaunt, at about 1 1/4 miles in you’ll see a trail that takes off straight down the mountain to the right – and it spits you out at the infamous Green River Narrows. This portion can be treacherous, so be super careful!
