Davidson River Dog-Friendly Trail: Take Fido out for a hike along the scenic Davidson River Trail that passes through beautiful hardwood forests near the Cradle of Forestry. There are miles of trails that run alongside the river. On most days trout can be seen swimming around in the pools of the Davidson River as well as an abundance of native flowers and trees.
Directions: From Brevard take NC 280 towards Mills River, and make a left at the stoplight onto Hwy 276. Continue until you arrive at Ranger Station on the right or head to the Davidson River Campground and park on the left before crossing the bridge.
