Santos Main Trails Area: As the central hub, Santos offers trails specifically tailored to different skill levels. The green (beginner) trails are wide and easy to navigate, while blue (intermediate) trails provide a mix of flowing terrain and mild technical elements. Black diamond trails, like the famed "Vortex," deliver jumps, drops, and steep climbs for advanced riders. Key Features: Comprehensive trail marking, ample parking, and nearby restrooms.

Riders encounter everything from massive limestone drops to wooden features like bridges and ramps. What Makes It Special: A rare opportunity in Florida to test freeride-style skills amid natural quarry-like features.
Noah's Trail (Family-Friendly): Perfect for beginners or families, Noah's Trail presents gentle, flowing terrain winding through a scenic forest. It's a great option if you're introducing kids or novice riders to mountain biking. Key Features: Wide paths, beginner-friendly design, and plenty of shaded areas for comfortable riding.
Local Insights
Santos Trails are part of the Cross Florida Greenway, created from a failed canal project in the 1930s. This repurposed land now boasts over 80 miles of bikeable trails.
The “Vortex” area was originally a limestone quarry, which gives it unique geological features not typical of Florida's flat landscapes.

This Park entails a tangled mass of looping hiking, biking, and equestrian trails. I easily got lost from my set course even though there are trail markers, but thankfully, all of the trails end up looping back to the same starting point. I set a pinpoint on my parking location and used that as a guide on which direction to go.
There are easy to difficult level trails here. The difficult trails are marked clearly and offer a few inclines with beautiful views. There is a restroom facility, a BMX park, and camping grounds to use as well. It's a very beautiful park!

This is a very unique bicycle enthusiast place that has a paved trail that goes on for ever. They have off-road dirt trails and obstacle dirt tracks. There is an area set up to wash your bike after getting dirty. There is also a very helpful bulletin board that gives additional information including wildlife notices. Definitely need to check this place out! Also, we recommend having a bear spray for safety! 👍

Definitely recommend the paved trail for families with small children! Perfect shade and well kept path. Saw at least 4 tortoises and my kids loved our ride! Normal dirt trails are not for beginner riders but are perfect for more advanced riders. I have always had great riding experiences at Santos and love the versatility of paths offered here.

Vortex is the best trail of this network. You can see the love dedicated to the park. But I truly believe that the categorization of the trails is way off. 90% of the trail system are the barely reached Green. With vortex being a blue and just because is a little techy. This is a park for the family to go for a ride together.

Great trail that is clearly marked and enjoyable by many- bicycles, pedestrians, joggers, e-bikes, pups! Beautiful location through the woods. Lots of hills and windy bends to make this a great trail!
