Very friendly and welcoming staff. The Hemlock circle was perfect and right on the river. We were able to go tubing down to the ice cream stand 2 hours down river. Very clean bathrooms and showers. They could use more electricity sites but overall it was a great experience in nature. Proximity to sliding rock and looking glass falls is perfect.

This place is awesome ,great location and plenty of natural fun. My only complaint was with site 43 Apple loop. There was old and new cut trees scattered on the edge of the entire campsite looking like a work area and had no shade in the heat of the day. It was the only site I seen in this condition. I recommend this camp ground just not this site. Bathrooms were plentiful and had hot water.

Just stayed there for the first time. Didn't have a great campsite but loved the campground overall and had a chance to see which sites for our next trip. The bathhouse could use updating but that is my only negative.

We stayed 3 nights with our 31ft camper in the dogwood loop. It was a nice site with some shade and some sun- not much privacy though. We did have electricity which was great! We loved the swimming hole and sliding rock being so close. The area surrounding the campground was a lot of fun- ice cream, food, breweries, etc. The only part we didn’t like were the bathrooms. They were gross. We have been to Lake Powhatan and North Mills River multiple times and the bathrooms are cleaned well. But at this campground they only cleaned once a day and they didn’t do a good job. Overall we enjoyed our experience.

There are plenty of campsites to choose from and plenty of bathroom houses. Great location to the river for tubing and a lot of hiking trails. They are putting bear boxes in a lot of the sites and updating the picnic tables. We had a great trip!
