This very easy and short drive from the Las Vegas strip offers a chance to step out of the glitz and glamour of Vegas and experience the beauty of the Red Rock Canyon without traveling far. Most scenic spots are accessible by car, and minimal hiking is required. However, if you’re interested in hiking, there are ample opportunities available.

Stopped by on my trip to Vegas. I thoroughly enjoyed the scene. I did The Wilson Pimple Peak trail. I like the putting however I found the trail poorly marked. I had no internet in the park but that makes sense based on the terrain. Great afternoon out.

Red Rocks Canyon National Conservation area was a wonderful place to hike and see the sights. The 13 mile road loop has numerous stunning and accessible view points to visit. There are also several terrific hikes available in varying lengths and difficulty levels. I spent a good morning exploring the Calico Tanks Trail. This trail presented a suitable challenge for me and offered perfect spots for me to take photos. The scenery was amazing, the air was clean and fresh, the skies were blue, the trails were well kept and generally easy to follow—even if a bit challenging in some areas. The Calico Tanks trail offered some nice climbing and rock scrambling. You should probably be somewhat fit to go on this trail. It's not super long, but there are some challenging sections.

Pretty easy hike and 1 day trip. If you love rocks of different colors and ancient marks, please do visit this. 13miles drive is scenic and lots of rest stops to enjoy and view rocks.

Close to Las Vegas, Red Rock Canyon is a literally a breath of fresh air. Several hiking loops, vistas, bouldering, and climbing routes. There is a paid auto loop road you need a reservation for. Road biking seems popular as well.
