Chickamauga Lake is a very clean lake that is not crowded with a bunch of rude people who don’t know how to manage their boats or PWCs. We go here with our friends, the McFarlands, and we always have a wonderful time. The water is clean and the scenery is great. If you get a chance to visit Chattanooga, TN, then you would do well to include this gem in your itinerary.

What a Beautiful lake that the Chickamauga damn has created! It is strewn with many anabranches to explore, most being navigable even while avoiding skinny water. It's an easy lake to maneuver with plenty of soft shores to beach your ride -- or rocky outcrops to leap from!! You'll have no trouble finding a place to stretch your legs while letting the family dog use the facilities! Great place for family fun! Check it out and bring the sunscreen!

Terrific lake formed by the Tennessee River, dammed by the Trasher Dam on Hwy153, near downtown Chattanooga. Quite a few full-service marinas, generally respectful boaters (even the jet skiers), and lots of pontoon boats. Ranked by Bassmaster in 2018 as the 2nd Best Bass Lake in the U.S. Generally excellent restaurants at most of the marinas., and rental of all kinds of boats available. This is a wonderful waterway for fun in the sun.
