Drove here on a bright sunny Tuesday in July. There were some campers and boats around the area. Although this lake is not as big as it's neighbor Paulina Lake it is still worth seeing. The water is clear and blue and still pretty cool. The beaches were clean and the facilities well maintained. Nice place to visit in the summer.

We camped at East Lake Campground for two nights. The sites are fairly large, but not very many trees to make them private. Some sites have beautiful lake views. Ours was a partial view. We had nice weather but the overnight low was cold! You can walk to the resort. It is a one mile walk, so two miles roundtrip back to the campground. There is a shoreline trail. We went to the East Lake Resort and had some draft beers and a snack. Very good! We also attended the Hunter Noack "In a Landscape" classical piano music concert. It was right on the water and it was fantastic. Stereo headphones are handed out as you arrive, sit anywhere and listen! It was a great experience. There is a boat launch for our kayaks. The water level did not come up to the concrete so it was very muddy launching.

East Lake is an awesome lake for kids to swim and fish in. We went to the farthest camp/day use area. It has a nice shoreline (small rocks/pebbles - not sand) and the water had a gradual slope so it was fun for the kids to play and splash around in. Also caught fish (trout) from the same area we were playing - it was easy, power bait and cast out far. Very good lake!

Beautiful lake and area, we visited in 2017 as they were getting ready for winter. Also stayed at the campground and it started to lightly snow.
