A beautiful place. Very peaceful and no cell service which I like. U can go right up the road and get service if there is a emergency. U Def need to stay inside at night as there are raccoons but they are harmless. Me and my family loved it here

Boone fork trail is one of my favorite in the area. Perfect for families to spend the weekend or holidays on and can head to Blowing Rock for a nice meal afterwards.
The views are the best in fall but spring is nice as well. There aren’t normally many people so sometimes we can enjoy the nature all by ourselves

One of my favorite camping grounds. This place has everything you could ask for! Tons of private scenic and tranquil camping spots. Recreation lake a short walk away and an incredible hiking trail that offers beautiful views of a meandering creek. Incredible rock faces, rhododendrons...clean bathroom facilities and even a shower house with hot water. Staff very helpful and kind. And if you get tired of cooking food for a meal or two, blowing rock is 10 min drive away with a brewery and mellowmushroom as well as a beautiful main drive and outdoor market.

This was my first time at this park. I stayed 4 nights. I plan to return someday. So peaceful! Deer roamed the campsites. Sites are close however with the trees you have privacy. Fire pits and picnic tables. Showers are only in one loop. Tent loop D.
Pets welcome with leashes. Not that I had any. The only trash dumpster is at check in.

Great views! Peaceful. Parking area and a sidewalk to capture stunning views. My photos are doing this area a disservice because the place is gorgeous. There are little cut out areas to capture different views of the area (not shown on my photos). The parking area was big enough to hold several cars and it was easy to navigate. Go! Explore!
