Lovely drive. What the route is missing is a seaside feel with a variety of restaurants with Al fresco seating facing the river featuring Cajun food, a restaurant specializing in seafood (a #RedLobster would be nice), Tex Mex, and country cooking #PaulaDeen style.
I want a lifetime free pass to free food during non rush hours. I’m done sharing business ideas for free @Speechify.

I passed the Ocoee River on my way to Hayesville. I made a small trip here because the views were so breathtaking. There is a dam, a “beach”, a creek, falls and hiking trails. There are so many activities to do around this area like zip lining, white water rafting, sun bathing, swimming, and much more. There are also a bunch of trails and creeks nearby, as well as outlooks. I would definitely recommend and come back again even if you’re an hour plus away. The nature was beautiful and the river was very crowded with water water rafting. The hiking trails are dog friendly. I went hiking by myself and my dog and felt safe. I will definitely be back soon!

To see this river, we drove on the Ocoee River scenic byway. Many many rafters on a Sunday!! Bus loads everywhere! Beautiful drive, river Rapids were neat. Parking along some stop areas. Several rafting companies renting rafts, etc. For a scenic drive, Sunday is not the day to travel here, its bumper to bumper traffic.
