So happy i found you guys! I am a novice, wanted to take a solo few days canoe trip in late fall. Felt very well equipped by Raquette River Outfitters, great canoe, two styles of paddles provided and most comfortable PFD I ever rented ;) Raquette River Outfitters cared foremost about my safety, adjusted my route due to weather conditions, gave true estimate on timing, camp site availability, fishing, water conditions and basic safety.
Accommodated my late return and made sure I am safe and sound for the road back to NYC. Great guys, passionate and knowledgeable about what they do which shines in their service. Great place and location and still the closest to NYC where you can experience wilderness almost tailored to your level of expectations. Highly recommend and looking forward for a future trip with Raquette River Outfitters.

The staff here were all so kind and helpful! Chuck gave us a great route to explore the Simond Pond/Raquette Lake area. Anne not only made some accommodations for us, but also gave fantastic recommendations for other activities around. Safety was a priority with this place. We will definitely be back again and again!
