One of the most stunning areas I've seen in the NC Mountains. The entire family thoroughly enjoyed our day here. Kids explored the river and rapids, slid down rocks, and my nephew even managed to catch a rainbow trout with his bare hands. 10/10 would recommend.

I absolutely love exploring Wilson's Creek Gorge but am saddened to see the trash and especially the broken glass laying around. This was the first time seeing hr Owls eye and "the lady" in the rock. Best time to go to Wilson's Creek is the fall and winter when no one is really around. Summers are absolutely packed with people swimming and leaving their garbage around.

It's still naturally beautiful. However, there is now trash everywhere on the ground, left by a increasing percent of people who are from outside of the country originally. This is on top of blasting ranchero music as loud as possible from loud speakers to make others feel unwelcome, despite this being a public place, and leave. Empty propane cans are also commonly floating in Eddie's along with empty beer cans, and broken beer bottles litter parts of the water bottom, so wear water shoes if you go in...this is definitely not how this part of North Carolina was just 4 years ago.
