Must-see view of the famous bend in the New River
The overlook is right off the main parking showing two sides of the gorge. You can walk to the two main trails (Castle and Grandview Rim) right next to the overlook spot. There’s even a spot specifically for accessible folks.
The parking lot is a treat with the beautiful pink flowers.

If you're in the area this is a must stop and see overlook in NRG. Short walk from the parking lot to this spectacular view. First pic was mid morning. Got up early for the next 3 and was able to see this amazing sunrise!

Best overlook in the park in my opinion. Sunrise was incredible! Came back after the morning fog had cleared up and soaked it more views. Visited on a weekday and weekend. Weekday on Friday was much less busy than weekend on Saturday & Sunday. IG @LensFocusedPhotography

Gorgeous!
Lots of See-ums (not biting) out at the overlook itself - bring bug repellent if they bother you. They were ignoring my husband and swarming me.
All things considered it's a GORGEOUS park! We drove through the whole park and loved how beautiful and well maintained it is!

Spectacular view! The main overlook is a very short and easy walk away from the parking. At this place we can see New River bends, two ways views of Gorge, there is a train route down along the New River, we could see train running. Great views of mountains and clouds. We did hiking on trails near by.
