Campground is clean and well-maintained. Sites are small, but adequate for tents and small RVs. Quite expensive for very limited services, but you are camping in Yellowstone. There was a grizzly bear reported to be in the campground while we stayed, but most sites still do not have bear boxes. Decent location if you want to explore the southern part of Yellowstone, but you are looking at close to a two hour drive if you want to visit Mammoth. Highly recommend attending the evening Ranger program. They were both informative and entertaining.

Nice well run campground but tight very tight for larger rigs. We have a 32 ft trailer and it was very tight around the corners. We made our one night reservation the week before in June so I guess we were lucky cause this place gets crowded! You cannot choose your site, they assign one based on size. We lucked out and we're next to the lake! Tress all around, neighbors were NOT packed in like sardines near us ! Yay! We used the free shower pass. Not crowded 4pm Thursday. Very clean, women's shower was hot, but my hubby said his was only warm. Even though we booked and paid online, we still had to physically wait on line to check in . Waited 20 minutes at 1 pm. We did ride our bikes to west thumb to view the hot pots. 3 miles round trip? We cut through the woods trail to avoid too much highway. It was easy and fun.

This was a beautiful campground and the staff are wonderful. Everyone is friendly and went out of their way to help. The bathrooms are clean and lots of hot water. The restrooms are clean and have running water. The campsites are very small and lots of trees so hard to get around in a larger camper but we did it.

Grant is really very nice and I could have easily rated it 5 stars but its a bit crowded and cramped in but everyone is very respectful and quiet so thats nice. We were right by the bathrooms and they were actually very nice. You can’t clean any dishes or anything for that matter in your campsite because that could attract grizzlies. You have to wash your dishes in a wash room that they have. Yellowstone Lake is right there and you can easily walk down to if from just about anywhere. The lake is absolutely gorgeous. Just have to be prepared for mosquitoes as is with anywhere. I’d definitely stay here again but its certainly not private. It’s convenient because if you are staying in the park a few days you can go through the park using this campground as your base.

Grant Village is a really awesome little campground in Yellowstone. The facilities are better than the average park campground and the sites are relatively quiet. Grant Village is in a pretty good location, just a few steps from Yellowstone Lake. I’d beware of the fact that there is no cell service in this more secluded area of the park. But when it comes to Yellowstone, really awesome park, we did a three day stay and had an awesome experience. So much to see, the wildlife is amazing. We saw the most wildlife here by far. Definitely an easy add to the itinerary.
