Great place to experience with family and friends, you need good shes to help you avoid slipping. it can be cold so take your jacket and cap/ winter hat with you.

Great place to explore, hike and relax. Reservations recommended if you want to go in early in the morning because the office opens at 8:30 or you have a self pay option when you arrive, cash only. We went early in the morning so the weather was just fine. Cool breeze of wind. Mind you this is TX in September still hot as Hell. I saw pictures of around March and April which looked pretty green and beautiful. Kids friendly.

Enchanted Rock State Natural Area Hiking Experience I recently had the pleasure of hiking at Enchanted Rock State Natural nature preserve, and it was an outstanding experience, well worth the $8 per person entry fee. Here's a breakdown of the trails we explored: Summit Trail: We started by heading up this iconic trail to the top of Enchanted Rock. Echo Canyon Trail: We looped through this scenic route. Base Trail: After we continued along this trail. Turkey Pass Trail: Finally, we completed our loop on this trail. The entire hike, including the Summit Trail and the loop, took about 2.5 hours. Nature at its finest, with spectacular views along the way! Just a few quick tips: Bring plenty of water and wear proper hiking shoes. Grab a map and keep an eye on the small signs placed along the trails—they're there to guide you. Without them, it's easy to get disoriented. I saw the staff working hard to help hikers who'd lost their way—there was even talk of using a helicopter for urgent situations! So, a gentle reminder: Be demure, be mindful, and follow the instructions and signs to ensure a smooth experience. Oh, and the park is open until 10 p.m., making it perfect for stargazing—definitely something I can’t wait to return for.
