This scenic drive left the biggest impression to me during the Gatlinburg Trip. The drive offers view after view after view with each view being more breathtaking than the previous one. Lots of places to stop, park your car and soak that beauty in.

We visited Newfound Gap during October and the fall colors were amazing. Loved the drive. On the way we saw Elk in an open field my first Elk siting.

Classic and unique, the Gap never disappoints, whether clear, cloudy, mixed, even stormy, the temps average 15° to 20° cooler than either side of Tenn or NC. Usually high traffic, but ample parking with park-style restrooms. No sinks, just hand sterilizer. $5 Day pass required if parking over 15 minutes.

Took a scenic drive south on Hwy 441 seeing many beautiful views of the Smoky Mountains. We live in Colorado and have our own beautiful Rocky Mountains. But we so enjoyed the beauty of the Smoky's. They are two very different types of mountain terrain.

this is in the beauty and splendor of the Great Smokey Mountains. The overlook views are breath taking. Not to mention when you get up that high and the air thins a little. Roads are slow and winding to get there but well worth it. Must see at least once in a life time!
