The Morris Island lighthouse is a beautiful lighthouse. We spent a few hours there walking around and taking photos. There is limited parking when you get to the area. There's a box for you to pay or you can scan and pay to enter. It appears to be on the honor system. Hopefully everyone is honest and pays. It's not expensive $1.00 per person. There's asphalt to walk on for part of the walk. People have graffitied it, it actually looks pretty cool, it gives you something to look at and talk about along the walk.

It's about a half mile walk from the parking location but most of the path is paved to the beach dunes. Worth the walk if you enjoy peaceful beach scenery and a beautiful lighthouse to view and photograph.

If you are staying in Folly Beach it’s worth a trip to the Morris Lighthouse. Parking is very very limited but it’s doable if you don’t go at peak visiting hours. It’s about a 1/2 mile hike to the viewing of the lighthouse. The majority of the walk is along a graffiti filled road. It’s really cool! The final tenth of a mile is on sand. Can be a bit tough given the humidity on a very hot day. Once you get to the viewpoint there are more painted rocks, some even characters or animals. It’s the beach though that makes the walk worth it. The driftwood is stunning and there’s a good chance you see dolphins if you watch for them!

Nice spot. Bit of a walk from where you park. Then, a trek up n over the sugar sand dunes, please be respectful of the vegetation. Great beach spot with old gnarly trees and peak at the lighthouse, nice waves, water, breeze. Kite surfers, fishing, beautiful walks. Please take your trash out with you. Thanks in advance. Enjoy. Off season so street parking was easy. There is a quarter mile walk on an open graffiti path that keeps you looking while you walk. The lighthouse is out in the water so it is not one you can visit but the view of the ocean and low country is beautiful.
