I'm sure when all is in bloom it is gorgeous, little going on in late August. Nice short nature walk. Would be nicer if college kids weren't in cabin smoking weed from bong, but quaint spot regardless.

Absolutely beautiful. One of the best botanical gardens I have been to in a while. I was just at a great one in Minneapolis. They both had that natural woods feel with little gardens sprinkled in. A pretty bridge and a Paw-paw patch. What else could a young man want.

The Asheville Botanical Garden is a lovely place to stop and take a stroll! The Garden has a 1/2 mile loop that backs right up to the UNC campus and winds through the forest offering great scenery and a great way to spend some time outside. The 1/2 mile loop had several creek access points and I noticed there were people sunbathing on the creek bed. (I'm definitely bringing my swimsuit next time!) The gift shop has great items - lots of books, seeds, postcards, clothing and more. No admission to enter, but I'd suggest leaving a donation. Thank you for a great visit!

Very cool local botanical garden. No wait. No tickets required. A bit of road noise overheard on the lower trail. Well maintained walking trails. Elevation gain is about 50', not difficult at all. Trees, plants and flowers are well labeled. Plenty of spots to sit in nature.

This place is so calming. Right in the middle of the city- you’d never know it strolling through the wonderful garden. The shop at the beginning is so cute- filled with local artisans and books and fun garden/pollinator items. I always see educational tours showing mushrooms, plant identifiers, etc… and I love sitting by the water and breathing in the clean air. A wonderful place to enjoy nature!
