Karshi Waterfalls in Abuja is a very rewarding (and hectic) journey.. It requires lots of walking and navigating the rocks, minimal rock climbing (except for when you get to the destination). A very refreshing sight awaits you after 1.5 hours of walking.

I love adventures so it was a great hiking experience for me as I have not done that in a long while. It is best to go with a group of people, I don’t advise for anyone to go alone, wear good hiking shoes as you would need for the climbing, crossing through rocky waters. Carry water and energy fueling foods as you may get hungry when you eventually reach the waterfall. Keep your electronics and gadgets properly, I advise a sealable ziplock bag to avoid contact with water, I learnt the hard way haha. Overall it was a fun experience for me!

The hike was a beautiful experience and even though it was my first hike experience I’ve got to say that it was a first that made it to the books. The driving from Abuja to Nasarrawa that shared a boundary with Abuja where the waterfall is located. The 4/5hours to the top, the little lakes, the little rivers we had to cross, taking of my shoes and giving up and just deciding to go in the water with them. The rope climb to the top where the waterfall is and finally the feeling of being under swelling waterfall. But then coming back wasn’t as beautiful but exasperating but the experience has stuck.
