Charyn Canyon National Park

Charyn Canyon National Park, located in southeastern Kazakhstan near the city of Tamerlik and adjacent to the Tien Shan Mountains, is a remarkable natural wonder that draws visitors with its vivid, towering sandstone cliffs and deep river valleys. Often likened to a smaller version of the Grand Canyon in the USA, this canyon is distinguished by its vibrant red hues and dramatic rock formations shaped by erosion over more than 12 million years.
