This easy trail runs through a rich mix of swampy wetlands and upland hardwood forests that are home to a variety of native plants and wildlife. The wooden boardwalk and connecting gravel path provide a gentle walk beneath towering cabbage palms and oaks, leading to scenic views over the marshlands where herons, egrets, and occasionally bald eagles can be spotted. Along the walk, visitors might also catch sight of small lizards or hear the calls of songbirds, reflecting the diverse ecosystem of the Florida panhandle.

Nice boardwalk over a natural area, leading to an overlook over the marsh. I think the trail is about 1/3 mile total, so 2/3 out and back.
