The former fortress island of Örö, built by the Russians with Chinese labor. A nice island too, and only an hour's boat ride from Kasnäs, although the journey to Kasnäs from the SME region takes almost three hours. The island was opened to the public in 2015. Until 2014, the island was used by the defense forces, with garrisons and recruits. The conscripts named the island's two cobblestone roads Lyhyt Ikävä and the longer one Pitkä Ikävä. There are approx. 6 km of cobblestone on the island. The island has accommodation and a camping area and restaurant services, at least during the summer. An interesting and worth visiting island where highland cows graze and where there are plenty of roasted meadows.
