In July 2026, I went on a 6-day safari with Africa Natural Tour. Before the trip, Godfrey answered all of my questions and organized everything perfectly. A big thank you to him for making the whole process so smooth. It was truly an unforgettable experience. We were lucky enough to see both the Big Five and the Great Migration. A special thanks also to our guide, Nestory, who provided excellent guidance throughout the entire 6-day safari. He is an outstanding guide, and his knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm made the safari even more enjoyable.

A few mix ups along the way. The start of our adventure and end of our adventure was less than perfect. (Due to Precision Airlines) After being evacuated by helicopter with altitude sickness we met the crew for the final farewell at a local restaurant. All that was discussed was tipping even though we were obviously tired, upset, ill and frustrated. (We suggested ) we wanted to sort this out later and not discuss it with the entire team present at the restaurant. So we have paid $4000 aud as a tip for a 7 day trek! Our figures and Larahas (Lead guide) figures for what was fair and reasonable were doubled. Plus a 3.5 percent transaction fee on top. Every other Company we travelled with used Virtual tipping which is an easy, fair way to tip. When we questioned the Company, the reply was you didn’t have to tip that amount. Sure when you feel your safety is compromised in new surroundings and you have some genuinely nice crew counting on you for their livelihood. All negotiations were done by one senior guide who obviously did not care enough for our circumstances to wait for us to regain some composure and explain our letter regarding tipping which we carried over 3 countries. In the future we will do more due diligence and be more precise about our expectations! A special thank you to the crew who worked so tirelessly for us. You were all such beautiful souls. You all know who you are! Emanuel….. Mumma and Puppa Simba will miss you. What was a fabulous hike and experience was only soured by the tipping experience! Gayle will be back to finish the last 150 metres within the next 12 months with my own comfortable hiking clothes. We definitely want to revisit Africa with another Company.
