Paradise Awaits at Atmosphere Kanifushi

Delightful island getaway — would love to go again! Stayed here for a mother-daughter trip I booked as a gift when my mother celebrated a milestone birthday. We did a LOT of research prior to booking to find a place that would be just right. Atmosphere Kanifushi lived up to our every expectation! If this review is long, it’s only because I’m writing it as a way to relive the fantastic trip I had to this resort (to which I already wish I could go back immediately). As soon as we stepped into our beach villa with private infinity pool we were completely blown away. The view was truly exquisite and so much better than any pictures could possibly do justice; I could never get tired of something so beautiful! Stepping out onto the wooden deck and taking a long morning swim in the pool before breakfast was divine. Really enjoyed the bathroom with a half open air ceiling as well — it was such a delightful feeling to step out there and hear the (for us northerners rather exotic) birds and watch the hibiscus flowers sway in the breeze. The whole island experience was fantastic— there was so much attention to detail to make the experience feel perfect (they even raked the sand pathway to our entrance every day!). The shuttle service made it easy to get around the island without issues. As for the food, the restaurant selection is excellent as well! We really enjoyed our a la carte dinner at Pier 6 (some delicious seafood there - would recommend to go before sunset to do the view justice though!), as well as lunch at the Sunset, Sri Lankan specialties at Ceylon Bliss and fish and chips at Liquid. We had most of our meals at the main buffet restaurant Spice which was excellent! They had several different theme nights during our stay as well which ensured that there were always more options than you could possibly try! The staff were so attentive and helpful everywhere we went. Without fault, as a guest you are met with a smile and a greeting from literally everyone, from the shuttle drivers and restaurant service to island engineers and cleaning staff! They really make you feel welcome and it makes for such a pleasant mood on the island. To summarise, my mother and I will always treasure the memories from our lovely getaway to Atmosphere Kanifushi. Would love to go back one day and can absolutely recommend booking here!

Beautiful experience.

Youth hostel at luxury prices I've been to several islands in the Maldives. This was by far the worst and ugliest. We booked a water bungalow with butler service. We never got butler service. The flat champagne promised in the room description was a cheap flat sparkling wine. The island is incredibly long and you can't reach every place on foot. There are bicycles on the island for this purpose, but they are so broken and run down that you can't use them. Overall, the island and rooms make an unkempt impression and the service is poor.
