Majestic Views from Sentiero Durissini

Truly a spectacular tour, not suitable for everyone, there are difficult parts with cables which however can be done without additional equipment with a bit of training... We spent 6 hours and 30 doing it in a loop from Lake Misurina, climbing up to just before Lake D'Antorno and taking the path on the right we went up to the Fonda Savio refuge then we descend into the valley behind with a part of the via ferrata of about fifty meters and then continue towards the Forcella della Torre, in this stretch you have a magnificent view of the three peaks of Lavaredo, from here you continue along another three forks going around the Cadini di Misurina and then arriving at the Carpi refuge from which you descend along a driveway, if you want to reach Col de Varda you can take the chairlift to go down! If you do it the other way around, the chairlift takes away the first climb! On my YouTube channel you can see the full video.

Wonderful hike from Misurina around the Cadini group. Walking time about 7 hours, great viewpoints. Basic fitness is not wrong.

Splendid circular trekking route on the Cadini di Misurina. Challenging for exposed and equipped passages but doable without problems with a bit of experience and without suffering from vertigo. Enchanting views...

Beautiful. Whether you do it in part or even more so if you do it in its entirety (ring), you need to be trained, absolutely not suffer from vertigo and be used to walking on difficult and slippery terrain. If you do it in its entirety (circle) it is about 1500 meters because it is a continuous up, down, up and down; rewarded however with 360 degree views: from the Marmarole, to the Dolomites of Sexten to the Sennes and many others. The complete Durissini path includes a circular tour that starts from the Fonda Savio refuge along the 112. It is very long, longer than it seems on the map. Via ferrata kit or not? Personally I haven't used it but if in doubt, bring it if you are not an expert. Another alternative that would kill 3 birds with one stone is to leave the car in Misurina, take the bus to Rifugio Auronzo (15 euros each), take the Bonacossa path (always equipped and for those who do not suffer from vertigo as it is narrow and with cliff. However, it is easy for those who are used to the mountains). So you arrive at the Fonda Savio refuge, take the 112 towards Forcella del Nevaio (not to be confused with Forcella della Nevaio) then at the intersection with path 118 for Forcella del nevaio you have 2 options: 🥾 or you go up this fork (shorter tour) and then you go down to Lake Misurina 🥾 or you go to the Città di Carpi refuge and then from there you follow to the Varda refuge and then to the lake and from there you take the bus. Or you go down from the Carpi refuge to the road and from there you go to the bus shelter. The latter is a very very very long route, with a downhill section equipped with ladders and I would say challenging (so much so that few do it) but which touches on various very different scenarios, which passes between pointed spiers that look like mini cathedrals , among the real mountains, and which allows you to see many beautiful points (calculate 8 hours of pure walking + breaks). You definitely need to be trained for challenging mountain routes. Here there are no photos of the east side of Durissini because I went down to the Carpi refuge.
