The concept of building this connection from University Place is great, but the greenway is so steep on the return route that anyone but veteran cyclists can make the climb. Not as bad for walkers, but still an ordeal,.

What a great connecting greenway and relatively close to the Blue Line's JW Clay Station! Look for native plants projects to be installed spring 2021 as a joint venture between University City Partners, UNC Charlotte Botanical Gardens and the NC Native Plants Society.

This greenway is a great new addition to the network, connecting Mallard Creek Greenway to Shoppes at University Place. However, it is very hilly. I would use caution when it is wet/icy. There are nice trees and it isn't a bad trail, but its main function is as a connection.
