This easy-to-access lookout commands a breathtaking view of the Bow River winding through dense forests, framed by imposing mountain peaks. The site is especially popular for its stunning perspective of the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, famously known as the "Castle in the Rockies," built in 1888. The hotel’s grand architecture blends beautifully with the natural surroundings, creating a striking contrast between human craft and wild wilderness.

A hidden gem in Banff that many people seem to miss! Surprise Corner Viewpoint offers a beautiful view of the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel surrounded by the mountains and forest. The scenery is absolutely stunning and it’s a great spot to take photos. It doesn’t take much time to visit, so I definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in Banff. It’s surprisingly not as well known as some of the other viewpoints, but it’s absolutely worth visiting. Don’t miss this spot!

Naja.
