Super easy trail that leads past Dohr’s old home foundation, right to the Atlantic Ocean. Views were gorgeous, large rocks and lots of tide pools to check out. Very quick out and back trail.

Personally this trail was not really anything special and is a one and done for me. Plenty of other excellent trails within Acadia National Park that I would recommend over this spot. Trailhead parking here is limited with only a few spots.

Wouldn’t even call this a hike because it’s extremely short. However, pops you right out onto the rocks with almost no tourists. Really cool to explore the rocky coast on your own, so close to Bar Harbor.

It’s nice. Sometimes you’re running into tourists, but most of the time you won’t. There’s some nice old ruins of a burn down mansion and it’s pretty good swimming.

The route itself is not particularly successful, just a walk in a damp forest (and a considerable amount of mosquitoes and other flying creatures), but at the other end of it you reach a stunningly beautiful beach.
