This trail offers beautiful views at the top and is moderately challenging with rocky steps, boulder scrambles, and uneven paths. It’s a 1.5-mile out-and-back hike, best suited for those in good shape with proper hiking shoes. Parking is limited, and there are no restrooms at the trailhead, but it’s worth the effort for the scenery!

We loved this hike, with our 8 year old son, the Gorham Trail to the summit is very good. We did it in 2 hours max round trip with a break at the top to eat.

Loved this hike. We did a loop. First we started at beehive and then continued up to Gorham Mountain then hiked back to the ocean. Took roughly 4 hours with stops along the way.

The hike up Gorham Mountain can be combined with the ascent of The Beehive on a circular hike. At the beginning of June, we walk on the Beehive Trail over the rocky summit and descend north to the mountain lake The Bowl. We climb up a rocky path to the summit of Gorham Mountain and can look back on the via ferrata on The Beehive. On Gorham Mountain we have a fantastic view of the mountains to the north, the Cadillac, Dorr and Champlain Mountains.
