Incredible hike! Plan for more time as stops are recommended to take in the views along the way. I hiked in August ‘20 and the water was relatively warm compared to surrounding lakes. Light foot traffic and plenty of happy dogs.

Beautiful lake, trail is breathtaking as well. Not too crowded either, most people opt for Maroon Bells.
