The lakeshore trail is a great way to see some of the best caves on this side of superior. On a day with good steady wind waves will pound into the stone sending water high up the cliff face and creating a thundering sound in the caves below. The views down into the caves is also fantastic. Unfortunately the walk in is a bit dull with the occasional unstable plank or two. And I would not recommending climbing or getting too close to any of the ledges. The ground is not as sturdy as other cliff faces and can slide away easily. Overall, it’s a neat short hike with a couple great outlooks.

We hiked from Meyer Beach to The Bowl. It was a great hike and the views were gorgeous!

This is not for the casual walker, this is a real hike that took 3+ hours round trip with steep parts and tree roots. i made the mistake of walking in jeans, but at least we had water. The hike itself is otherwise uneventful, but you do get some good views at the end.
