Paddling at Base Camp Bigfork

Mark is the best. Very knowledgeable, safe, and just a great person. My wife and I did one of the dog sled sessions with Mark and it is an experience like no other. He teaches you how to drive the sled and provides all the necessary resources to be successful and have a special experience.

We loved our experience with Mark and the dogs. We never knew checking off this bucket list item would be so awesome. We will join Mark again, both with dogs and his expeditions in the summers.

I have always wanted to go dog sledding and I’m thrilled that I found Big Fork Dogsledding for my first experience. Mark is truly a professional with an enormous amount of knowledge about his Inuit dogs and the whole geography of the area. We traveled through a winter wonderland and got to experience mushing as Mark guided us with his expertise. He was very patient with us as we are seniors, and he took extra care to make sure that we were comfortable. The dogs are so friendly and it was wonderful to be able to interact with them and even help harness them. Mark took many pictures and videos along our ride and shared them with us. We will treasure the videos and photos as we share them with our family and friends. It snowed the entire time and when we were leaving, our car got stuck in the snow and Mark came out with his snowplow truck and pulled us out of the snow. This was over and above in our opinion. My husband and I decided to go dog sledding on our honeymoon and the experience Mark provided was out of this world incredible!! We felt like we were in a movie! He was so professional and kind and the dogs were absolutely magnificent. Out of all the things we did in Montana, this was my FAVORITE by far. We can’t wait to come back!! 🤍🤍

Amazing experience. Everyone needs to do this at least once. Mark introduced us to all his dogs and gave us their inuit breed background, he walked us through the process and let us harness and control the dogs. We stoped for hot coco and snacks halfway through for a quick break. Mark guided us through the beautiful forest and open areas on ⛷️ talking about the land and area. I'm not a fan of the cold but totally worth it. I didn't need the 3 layers of clothes 2 would have been perfect. We will be back in the summer to rent kayaks from base camp in big fork. Thanks Mark for a fun adventure.
