Fantastic place ! It is a sacred Native American site. It took me an hour up and an hour down. I brought a sling pack and a bottle of water . A walking stick or a piece of wood is very helpful . WB9PRG recommends this place .

Nice hike. Views of the vast plains around are beautiful. Never heard about this park before, just noticed this mountain from the highway on the way to Yellowstone. I decided to take a closer look and wasn't disappointed at all. Hike is not challenging, but as was mentioned before - there is little shade along the way to the summit. We were hiking at noon so it was pretty hot. Coming thunderstorm had added great views from the summit!
