For some adventure on our journey through Malawi, we decided to hike Mt. Mulanje. Accompanied by guide Ramson (+265 881452900 - call or WhatsApp him), we decided to do a 3-day hike. On the first day, we hiked to one of the huts where we stayed the night and climbed Sapitwa (the highest point of Malawi: 3002m) on the second day. After the peak, we went to another hut before going down to the village the last day. Being accompanied by guide Ramson, an absolutely lovely, calm guy, we felt very safe an in the best hands! Not only did he make sure that we felt comfortable throughout our hike, he was also a very good companion to talk to. We learned a lot about Malawian culture and their way of living, current issues people deal with in their everyday lives, etc. All in all, an extremely beautiful journey which I would absolutely repeat and recommend! Mt. Mulanje and the nature it is surrounded with is so stunning! Do not hestitate to contact Ramson - couldn't think of a better guide!!

Lovely hiking spot. Some forests remain but it is going at an alarming rate. Visit while you can! Highly recommend the mountain huts. Hire a guide, it’s easy to get lost and it supports the local communities this helps reduce the deforestation.
