I would not recommend this trail or at least the trail in its current condition to less experienced hikers if they are planning to travel to the top of the peninsula. What is supposed to be a relatively simple journey is made much more difficult by the trail's lack of maintenance. So much so that this hike can become somewhat dangerous. There are a lot of downed trees and overgrowth blocking the path in a few places. Instead of the debris being properly dealt with whoever maintains this trail did the bare minimum and marked a few of the trees to show where the trail would eventually continue. Also, most of the signs are down. It can be seen that there were once signs because the poles they were on remain. Aside from that the area is beautiful and would be great if it were properly taken care of.
