One of the best hikes we did in Dolomites. A bit of exposure, otherwise doable without ropes/harnesses. Not suitable for inexperienced hikers with fear of heights!

This via ferrata is perfect for first-timers. The route is also suitable for athletic children.

It is one of my favourite places in Passo Gardena. 💕🧗🏻‍♀️ Even though it is hardly a via ferrata (very short sections with level A), the view is breath taking. The approach includes having to climb up a steep section of about 30 minutes from the rifugio to the start of the via ferrata, so be aware of that. The ferrata itself is very good for people with no experience, who are taking their first steps on the sport. However, if you have a bit of experience or good physical condition and you have to choose one, I recommend doing Piccolo Cir, which, regardless of its misleading name, it is a harder and longer via ferrata. Disclaimer: this via ferrata, among others in the area, is said to be adequate for children. I am skeptical nonetheless. In my opinion, the climb up was taxing and I wonder if they (and the parents as consequence) would have a good time doing it. Also, there are many sections on the ascent that do not have the steel cable to connect the via ferrata, and seemed scketchy for kids. Be safe and have fun ⛰️
