Worthwhile visit to a ruins of a castle. It’s a long and windy walk up. There is no way to drive up so you have to find limited parking. It’s well worth it, the ruins are really in ruins and not kept with vegetable growing. There are a lot of loose rocks in the castle so be very careful. But the views and the ruins are fantastic.

You definitely need to visit and see the amazing 360-degree view. You will walk a little bit after you stop your car. No cafe. Bring your water. Dont throw anything. No ticket.

Beautiful view...Borsh Castle, also known as Sopot Castle from the hill on which it is located, is a ruined castle near the coast of the Ionian Sea, near the village of Borsh in Albania. Inside the castle is the 17th-century Hacı Bendo Mosque, dating back to the Ottoman period. Hacı Bendo Mosque or Hacı Bedo Mosque is an Ottoman-era mosque built before the 17th century. The dome, which used to be made of red tiles, is now covered with concrete. The Muslim frescoes and muralist works inside are in danger. Half of the stone minaret has not survived to the present day. Haci Bendo Mosque took its name from Haxhi Bendo, vassal of Janinali Ali Pasha. After being destroyed during communism, the mosque was not rebuilt for the local Albanian population under the rule of the post-communist regime, most of the Byzantine-Greek churches and monasteries in the area were rebuilt. Isn't it interesting? The building is one of the works of Ottoman architecture in Albania. Today it is a major tourist attraction in Borshi village. Hadji Bendo is located in the Lukovë administrative unit of the Himara Municipality of Vlorë County. It is one of the Ottoman mosques that was damaged and closed during the dictatorship of Enver Hoxha. During the reign of the Socialist People's Republic of Albania, most of the Ottoman mosques were destroyed and replaced with Socialist and Modernist architecture.
