Camped in the tent sites with a BSA troop over the weekend. The shower house was remarkably clean. Even the pit toilets were top notch. The tent camping is well designed and not an afterthought of simply adding tent sites where RVs don't fit. The water from the faucet tastes fine also. I gave a full five stars for the organization, maintenance and cleanliness of the campground and facilities. There are some elements that others may not like. Highway tire noise, and occasional engine noise, can be heard throughout the night. The concessionaire has a few hats, shirts, etc. available, but there is no camp store with treats and novelty items for kids to spend their money on. Playing in the river is a fun change of pace from typical Central Illinois activities.
