It's pretty good for a close-to-town getaway with kids. Washrooms: The washrooms were well maintained. Swimming: Lake Ontario can be rough at times, the beach isn't bad but the lake bottom is nice and sandy. Noise: You CAN hear the trucks on the 401 at night and the trains are extremely busy and noisy (there's a level crossing right outside the park causing the trains to sound their horns). The trains are what keep me from returning.
