We visited the november 1-3 we had very chilly nights but the day time was in the 60s. We backpacked in 7 miles and it was such an incredible autumn hike. The colors and the crisp air. The trails were well marked and I didn't see ANY trash on any part of the trail. I highly recommend the Hercules glade wilderness to my friends just to go visit. It's about 4 hours from little rock, AR where we're located. We found tiny campgrounds and pre built firepits. My group truly had an amazing time.

Started at tower trailhead. Hiked a ten mile loop, camped overnight at two sites and back to trailhead. Rough going over rocks, a few climbs and “Long creek”water crossing. Great solitude , peaceful
