A series of 14 cascading waterfalls that plunge directly into Lake Brienz, crowned by the historic and stately Grandhotel Giessbach. Highlights: The footpath that allows you to literally walk behind one of the curtains of water and the perfectly maintained, romantic woodland setting. Areas for improvement: The access parking (Naturpark Giessbach) is paid and has limited spaces; the surface of some sections of the stairs can be slippery due to the constant dampness. Tip: The most scenic way to arrive is by boat across Lake Brienz to the Giessbach pier, then taking the oldest historic wooden funicular in Europe (in operation since 1879).

A magnificent waterfall where you can get very close and even walk behind it.

A hidden gem that everyone knows about and that I recommend visiting from all accommodations in Brienz and Iseltwald, especially. Spring is the best time because the waterfall has more water and there are fewer people. I enjoy cycling there with guests. If you have a dog, it's best not to do the route from Iseltwald because there's a tick infestation and it will be a nightmare. Last time I went, I removed more than 200 ticks from Sua!
