This very green hike takes you along the creeks and rivers, crossing a variety of roads and rivers, with almost no phone signal or contact with humans. My kind of hike.i took my leashed dog on a three mile stretch beginning at the Mendota Trailhead. A little over three miles in, I met an unleashed dog. The dog was a little aggressive which was extremely concerning considering i was in a pretty remote location. Fortunately, a pair of gentlemen assisted the dog to the Trailhead so that I could safely return to my vehicle with my own leashed dog. I am prepared for this, but the event ruined my hike. I do not know if this was a stray or local dog. I was visiting from out of state

No single part of this trail is difficult by any means, no higher than 3% grade typically because of the railroad. We biking for this particular trip and did not finish the whole trail, however it still a very fun experience, lots to see and a very mellow, gravel trail.
