About This Adventure Destination

The Peekaboo Loop Trail located in Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah offers a breathtaking glimpse into the world of uniquely sculpted hoodoos and dramatic red rock formations. This trail, famous for its striking natural amphitheater, showcases towering pillars and spires, shaped meticulously by years of erosion. Hiking through this trail, visitors are greeted by an otherworldly landscape that seems almost painted against the expansive Utah sky.

Bryce Canyon’s hoodoos, the largest collection found anywhere on Earth, are the highlight of this trail. These irregular columns of rock provide not just a geological marvel, but a visual spectacle of colors from deep reds to vibrant oranges and softer pinks. Formed over millennia, they exhibit the power of nature’s artistry, creating a stunning backdrop for adventure and photography alike.

Absolutely stunning views throughout the hike! My husband and I are average Joe's compared to experienced hikers, so we took our time on this hike. It's doable, and the NPS marks it strenuous, but you can get it done! There is quite a bit of elevation. Our bones were sore after, but we both said it was well worth it and one of our favorite hikes to date. Sure there's horse/donkey excrement, but that's also in the Grand Canyon. Honestly the air outside the bathrooms at Canyonlands National Park was worse than the that. Enjoy the trail and nature. There is one toilet during the hike that you push a pedal a few times because it's like a conveyor belt. P.S. it starts at Bryce Point

Gorgeous hike that is a big loop. There is a lot of up and down and switch backs so be prepared. The beginning is quite busy with many spectators taking pictures and being curious humans. As you continue down the trail it thins out significantly which is where you’ll find peace and amazing views of queens garden etc. You have to see if for yourself to believe the beauty of this landscape.

The Peekaboo Loop Trail is definitely not suited for novice hikers! This demanding trek starts near Sunset and Sunrise points, leading you down a series of switchbacks amidst a bustling crowd. Spanning around 7 miles, it features numerous inclines and declines. As you progress, the clouds of people thin out, allowing you to fully appreciate the stunning scenery you’ve worked hard to reach. We found ourselves taking frequent breaks, as much of the trail offers little shade, so be sure to bring plenty of sunscreen and water. The breathtaking views kept us in awe, prompting us to pause and capture photos of the unique hoodoos, canyons, valleys, and rock formations. I wholeheartedly recommend this hike; it offers a truly unique experience unlike any other.
