A highly enjoyable and well-regarded destination for water sports enthusiasts, offering a dynamic river experience framed by the stunning Rocky Mountains. Had a day on the river, and started building the foundation for whitewater kayaking through an L1/L2 course taught by Shay. He was very supportive, entertaining, and patient! I am looking forward to some seat time while the water levels are low this year, then additional classes at RMOC in 2027.

I had a couple of great experiences with RMOC kayak instruction this summer—a rolling clinic in June and the L4 class in July. Shay is a very experienced paddler and an excellent, positive instructor. He’s refined his lessons for each skill and knows they work, and that confidence is contagious! We spent the day on Lower Browns Canyon for the L4 class, and Shay broke down each rapid with specific skills to practice and goals for their performance. We didn’t just run the river. I’ve added a bunch of new tools to my toolbox and know what to work on as I move into Class III whitewater. Thanks!!!
