Sunset Serenity at Cañabar Beach Club

The worse experience in México I've ever had. I wanted to enjoy the beach day with my sister who visited mexico for the first time and my partner who's from Mexico City. We were told one price for beach beds but once we wanted to use them suddenly the price raised. Once we asked for the reason we were told that if we don't like it we can go somewhere else. We decided to stay anyway but the waiter never arrived with the menu so we went to the bar. We were told that we cannot order anything as we have no bracelets. We asked how can we get them if nobody ever came to serve us. We also asked for change for sunbeds as we never received it. We asked for the manager but heard the person is not there. We decided to leave and the apart from bad comments the staff was making about us we were told we cannot pass and the staff member ran in front of us and started to close the exit gate. We barely managed to leave. We felt harassed and threatened. This place is not just bad service- its dangerous. I'm afraid to think what could have happened if my partner wasn't there with me and my sister. We even considered to report this incident to police. The owner of this place should reconsider who he hires as staff like this can put him in troubles. Not recommended, especially for female tourists

One of the worst experiences we've ever had on Isla Mujeres. The service was simply deplorable. We were two tourists trying to enjoy a day on Isla Mujeres at a beach club that, in theory, should be focused on serving and making its customers feel good. However, we ended up having an absolutely unpleasant experience. The most surprising thing is that it was low season and there were practically no other people there. After the treatment we received, we're honestly not surprised. From the beginning, there was a complete lack of organization: first they gave us one price and then a different one. The staff themselves didn't seem to agree on the terms and conditions or what we were being charged. We asked for a manager, and although they were supposedly working, there was no one in charge available to resolve anything. But the worst thing happened when we were leaving. Instead of simply allowing us to leave the establishment after we had paid and finished our visit, they closed the doors on us, and a staff member literally tried to slam the door in our faces and prevent us from leaving, as you can clearly see in the video. This is completely unacceptable. It's one thing to offer poor service, but quite another to treat customers this way. We're not talking about waiting too long for a drink or the food not being perfect. We're talking about disrespect, terrible organization, conflicting information, and utterly unacceptable behavior from the staff. We absolutely do not recommend this place. Isla Mujeres has plenty of options where tourists can enjoy a great day and receive decent treatment. We asked for a manager and, despite being told that the manager was supposedly working, there was no manager available to take responsibility or resolve the situation. But the worst part happened when we tried to leave. of simply allowing us to leave after finishing our visit, the doors were closed and one member of the staff actually tried to shut the door in our faces and prevent us from leaving instead, as clearly shown in the video. This is completely unacceptable. We are not talking about slow service, a disappointing drink, or food that wasn't perfect. We are talking about disrespect, terrible organization, contradictory information and completely unacceptable behavior from the staff. We absolutely do not recommend this place. Isla Mujeres has plenty of other beach clubs where tourists can enjoy their day and be treated with basic respect. There is absolutely no reason to accept this kind of behavior, especially when you are paying for a service that should make you feel welcome.

Place opens 10 am and closes at 6 pm so you can’t even watch the sunset. They literally take the sunbeds away from you. Also the food is mid and takes ages to come. A “pizza” is a flat wrap the size of a small plate with some tomato spread on top of it.
