⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This has quickly become one of our favourite campgrounds. It's beautifully quiet, with plenty of space and a real sense of peace. The campsites are well spread out, so you don't get the usual noise and hustle of busy campgrounds. If you're looking to relax, unwind and enjoy nature, this is the perfect place. We'll definitely be back!

Capertee campground, a wholesome well maintained campground a few hours drive from Sydney with great signage of history and significance of the area and the wildlife. Plenty of walking trails under cover areas, onsite long drop amenities. Old woodshed ruins are interesting to check out, Couple of cool look outs Few cool river crossings. Spacious with plenty of room. Next to no phone reception. Would recommend a 4wd out Awd However 2WD will do it in dry conditions. $12 roughy booking, while nationals park will supply a gate code is it is locked. Bit of a drive down dirt fire trails from the highway so it’s defiantly a a destination camp site not a pass through. Would recommend

If you want to take the kids there's no mobile internet connection . The camping right on the Capertee River. So close to Sydney but really isolated a good spot to just chill out from living life.
