Majestic Peaks of Doi Pha Ngam

Great destination! Enjoyed the open trail and peaceful outdoor atmosphere.

Park at Khun Wang Monastery and walk up past the strawberry farm. The way up is a bit difficult, steep, about 45 degrees, going up for a long time. Until the upper ridge, I walked up for 3 hours, then ate, took photos, and walked down for 3 hours. It was beautiful, worthy of the name Pha Song Dusat. At the top of the ridge it is an easy walk to reach the Phra Borommathat. But beyond the relics is dangerous. But if you want to get up, you have to make sure your body is okay, you have water and food.

I went hiking and camping for 2 days and 1 night during September 2023. The trail, in general, is pretty steep. The pole is advised (but I did not have one). This place can be a day trip or overnight too. However, there are no restrooms or lakes, so you should pack wisely. You can also walk by yourself, but I contact the community to guide you the way. During the trek, some intersections are without any signs, but they are connected. At the base camp, it is far from the top, around 500 M or 20-30 minutes walk. There is not much flat land or high trees. I did survive!! Thing to know - Going up to base camp, I spent 3-4 hours (no lunch breaks - Going down, I spent 2-3 hours - It can be rainy, so considering bonfire can be difficult and ability to see two season mountain - My guide advise that the best time to visit is in December - No slug

Very beautiful trail! There is little information on the route on the Internet, I advise you to download Organic Map or something similar with forest paths. We were not immediately able to find the right path. And as it turned out, we followed the simplest and most comfortable forest path. You need to start your journey through strawberry farms. If you want an easy-to-medium level, you can follow in our footsteps. In the photo I loaded the roof on the strawberry farm that you will need to find. Go through it and across the field along the path. The blue pipes on the ground will be your guide. But there is a moment at the beginning of the trail where they will diverge, you need to go to where there will be a water lever. We initially went off the trail and tried to get through the local jungle onto the trail and ended up back at the start. The trail is comfortable, there are bridges, it is picturesque and forested. When you finish it (about 2-3 hours) you will climb the ridge from where you can see the village. And after that you will need to climb to the peak of the mountain, it looks like it is impossible, but we climbed quickly. It's great at the top, there are a lot of trees with red flowers. We made noodles, said our prayers, and collected trash. On the way back, we decided to take a different path, which everyone seems to follow. And it was trash. This is a very steep descent consisting of dust, roots and sand. When I fell 3 times, I started counting. I fell 10-11 times and was very dirty and wrapped up. But it was worth it and it was fun. I recommend visiting this wonderful trail!
