The beach is beautiful, with fine sand that invites you to stroll along the shore. The sunrise is spectacular. However, there's a plague of sandflies, tiny mosquitoes that devour you in an instant, and the bites are annoying for days or even weeks. There are good restaurants, and the atmosphere is very peaceful.

August 25, 2026 Weekday beach Quiet and peaceful in Pathiu town There are quiet restaurants, I really liked them. The landmark is the statue of a cow at Thung Wua Laen.

This time, the water wasn't as clear as it was in previous years, maybe because it was the rainy season. It rained one minute, and the sun came out the next, giving a different vibe each time. It was cool and relaxing. There were also fewer restaurants.
